St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology, Kannur, in collaboration with Carbon Blue Global Training Institute, successfully concluded a 6-month Add-On Course in Quantity Surveying (QS). This is a specialised upskilling initiative designed to equip Civil Engineering students with industry-relevant knowledge, practical competencies, and software proficiency. Conducted in collaboration with Carbon Blue Global Training Institute, the program focuses on real-time project exposure, modern QS techniques, and the professional skills needed to meet global construction industry standards.

The course aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by delivering hands-on training in:

  • Quantity takeoff, rate analysis, and BOQ preparation
  • Project planning and scheduling using MS Project & Primavera P6
  • AutoCAD drafting, drawing interpretation, and documentation
  • Industry workflows, QA/QC practices, and site management basics
