The Project is aimed at developing an messenger application like Whatsapp with an
extra feature of publishing a message to avoid message being altered. The messenger
will have an option of "Publish as your post" button other than the normal send button.
The message sent through normal send button has a large possibility of getting altered
(as if message is a public message). Hence "Publish as your post" option allows a user
to send message with his name and publishing date along the message which will
appear as long as the message is getting shared with any number of users. No one can
alter the message sent as published by one. If anyone tries to alter then the message
will loose its publishment tag thereby loosing it genuinity. All the message sent through
messenger will not have publishment tag as it violate the privacy of the user. The
publisher can decide whether to send normally or publish as his post (As now a days
messenger is widely used to share messages for advertising or other social needs).
This feature of messenger will have great impact against sharing fake news as no one
can send message in fake profile as profile will get verification tag just as facebook.
