Description

There has been a significant evolution in the way in which we save, store and access data. We
no longer need to save documents on one particular device. You can access personal files and
data from anywhere with a solid Internet connection, at any time. A variety of cloud storage
providers are available, many of which offer free storage space. Several cloud solutions are
free, but they don’t always offer leading security options-including data encryption. Only a
limited number of cloud providers offer encryption services to safeguard your data when using
their cloud storage. Local encryption will offer an extra layer of security because decryption is
necessary before accessing the files or data.
To tackle this problem, users can perform local encryption, through third-party tools, before
uploading files to the cloud. Most of the existing third party tool, encryption techniques are
chosen by the system based on the type of the file.This project aims at developing a secure
website that provides the user with a variety of encryption techniques to encrypt and decrypt
confidential files before uploading to cloud. The encryption algorithms are provided based on
the type of file the user wishes to upload. From this list the user can decide how his files are
going to be encrypted.Here for better authentication purpose we use handheld device and QR
code mechanism instead of existing password authentication.
