Automated accident detection and reporting system is a system which detects and report accidents to the nearest hospital from the accident spot as quick as possible. The proposed system detects accidents in significantly less time using vibration sensor. A GPS and GSM module and a server unit that houses the database of all hospitals in the city are used in this system. When the main server unit receives the location details(latitude and longitude) of accident spot via a GSM module, it will sort out the nearest hospital from accident spot and send the location details to that particular hospital. This will help to provide accurate medical assistance for the accident victim. The main advantage of the proposed system is the reduction in time taken for providing medical assistance to the accident victim. This system has more significant advantages in case accidents occurs at night time and at rural areas.
