Description
Patient monitoring systems play a crucial role in intensive care units (ICUs), where continuous observation of patients’ health is essential. This work proposes an AI-enhanced remote patient monitoring and emotion recognition system designed to improve healthcare and patient well-being. The system continuously monitors vital signs such as body temperature, heart rate, and oxygen levels, while also detecting the patient’s facial emotions. In the event of abnormalities, the system generates alert messages to inform healthcare providers promptly.
An integrated Android application enables doctors and caretakers to remotely track both the physiological data and emotional states of patients in real-time, even when they are not physically present. This dual monitoring approach not only ensures timely medical intervention but also provides valuable insights into the patient’s emotional condition, supporting holistic healthcare management.
