This study investigates problems with current parking practices accumulations and supply survey in Kannur city area. Various traffic studies such as Road Space Inventory Survey, On street Parking Survey (both on week days and weekends). Surveys for knowing the willingness of potential users for parking fees for new services are conducted. This project includes a new parking action plan for Kannur city. Specific parking management strategies (short term, medium term and long term) and the way by which they can be implemented are discussed. About 20% traffic congestion can be eliminated by applying this parking action plan.
