1. Eligibility for Borrowing

  • All registered students, faculty, and staff of the institution are eligible to borrow books.
  • Library membership is mandatory to issue books.

2. Borrowing Limits and Loan Periods

  • Stack books will be issued to the students for a period of 14 days. Books so lent shall be returned on due date. The same book can be reissued for another 14 days if it is not in demand. ‘E-Borrowers Tickets’ are issued to students for borrowing books from the library. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and they will be responsible for any type of damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.

3. Renewals

  • Books may be renewed once for the same period if not reserved by another user.
  • Renewals must be done on or before the due date.

4. Overdue Fines

  • A fine of Rs. 1 per day per book will be charged for late returns.
  • Users with overdue books or pending fines cannot borrow more items.

5. Lost or Damaged Books

  • Lost or damaged books must be reported immediately.
  • The user must replace the book or pay the current market price along with processing charges.

6. Reserved and Reference Books

  • Reference materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc.) and reserved books are for in- library use only.

7. Library Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

8. Code of Conduct

  • Maintain silence in the library.
  • Handle books and other resources carefully.
  • Mobile phones should be on silent mode.
