The Library Advisory Committee oversees the development and effective functioning of the library. It recommends books, journals, and digital resources to support academic programs. The committee also formulates policies for library usage and promotes a reading culture among students and staff.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Formulate the policies and procedures for the library operations and development such as Collection Development policy, Lending Service policy, etc.
• Approve recommendations of the librarian.
• Validate general rules and regulations which govern the functioning of the library.
• Devise ways of improvising the library services via modern tools and techniques.
• Assess the requirements in the library from time to time and recommend procurement.

Frequency of meeting:

The Library Advisory Committee is expected to meet at the start of an academic year. However, emergency meetings may be convened at shorter notice when necessary.
